A Little Irish Luck Coming Your Way

Way to go captain stockton! Doesn't that feel good? Bill, I'm so sorry you weren't able to do the St. Pat's Day Dash. I thought I'd share a little Irish cheer to make you feel as though you were there. Our team and whole family participated. Congrats to Michael and Brian for finishing in 33 minutes! I got our 7 yr old (in picture) to jog for about 1 mile total, but I could only go as fast as his legs could take him (while pushing our other two kids in the double jogger). Still had fun and I know I got SOME exercise in!

Have a great week!

Way to go Cap'n Stockton! My swelling has plateaued and is not subsiding as fast as needed. I am able to use the elliptical at a rate of slightly over 12 minutes a mile. I hope to tessellate to a 5 K race in my mind as running in the St. Patty's Dash was my contest goal but alas was not possible today. Have an excellent start to the last few weeks.

I've done it!!!

Now hear this....now hear this!! I'm here on the BL blog announcing to everyone that I have met my 3 month physical challenge early!!! I did 3 miles in 38 minutes ( I originally said 39 mins.)on a "slight" incline.....WAHOOO!! I'm with Megan, let's keep this going another couple of weeks and let's hear from all of you loozers.....Captain Stockon.......

Week 10 Already?

Can week 10 already be coming to a close? I think this competition needs to kick it up a notch for the last two weeks. I think some folks are running out of steam (or possibly they are just running out of blogging steam and their diet and exercise routines are perfectly fine!)
The real biggest loser show kicked it up a notch by bringing back two contestants who'd already been sent home. It is never too late for a second chance.

Back in the Game

AMDG is still in this game. Despite a crazy week, I know even the coaches made a point to squeeze in several great work outs this week. Only 3 more weeks left in this competition. Are there really only two teams left in this competition? Everyone else is so quiet. No tips to share? No good news to pass along?

Have another great week.

Get moving......

Lean on Me are still alive, well and kicking!! As you heard, Bill is back and in serious mode!! Don't stand in his way!! What great exercise weather with the sun shinning and almost 60 degrees tomorrow. Have not heard from a lot of you, so let's kick this thing up a notch the last month and do some serious damage!! Get moving and don't look back.......

Game On.... Time Out!

Sounds like Lean On Me is up for a challenge. AMDG needs a time out! Crazy week ahead of us with two team members focusing on the State Tournament for HS Basketball. Our focus may be elsewhere and bad stadium food may be in store for a few of us. This is a test of our dedication during high temptation.

I'm Back!

Unlike the person pictured here I admit that I have taken steroids!! There Roger, that wasn't so bad.
I have already informed the head of the US Olympic Committee, Commissioners of the NBA,NFL and MLB as well as the our worthy Commissioner of the Biggest Loser that for the past 2 weeks I have been on Prednizone for swelling in my right foot. I let everyone, except for Jenn, also know that I would not be able to resurrect my career in their sports and thus would retire from attempting a comeback. People asked how did it come to this - using steroids??? I think the last memory I had (even though it could have been a dream) was Lori standing over me with a hammer in her hand. For a week it hurt to walk and only sandals could come close to fitting. Thank God for warmer weather. Side effects were few - waking up at 3:00 AM, eating salted potato chips and kosher pickles alongside the 3 pregnant teachers at work, swelling in the bicep area and abnormal hair growth on the bottom of my feet. So, I have come clean, Roger. My soul is purified. I can live with myself again. However, I did exercise over the week-end and experienced no swelling. So Team Lean-On-Me has its full contingency of players back. Beware!

Bill

Get ready cuz here we come......

Captain Stockton and the Lean on Me team still on board!! Although we have one man "partially" (it is just his foot!!)down, we are a fighting team.....I have been at the gym 5 times this week and still feeling good!! Not giving up....Week 9 starts tomorrow and anything can happen.....get ready cuz here we come!!

Has everyone given up?

AMDG Team Captain checking in again for the second time this week.... and it looks like our team is the only team to blog this week! In case anyone was wondering what the winning team's captain looks like, I'm including a picture so you know who you are up against.

This thing isn't over yet - anything can happen! I hope everyone is at least enjoying the healthy living. Here's to another good week.
